- IAF HAVE RELEASED THEIR 2019 MULTILATERAL RECOGNITION ARRANGEMENT (MLA)

- The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has just released its 2019 MLA report following a rigorous peer evaluation process.
- Their aim is to ensure that an effective single system is able to provide a 'Certified once, accepted everywhere' approach.
- The report is designed to give consumers and organisations confidence that equivalent Certification and Verification Bodies within different countries and economies are working towards the same stringent rules and guidelines as those in their own place of origin.
- This means that certification/verification in one location should be almost identical to the corresponding certification/verification anywhere else. Ultimately this reduces costs, minimises technical barriers, improves international trade and adds value to industries and consumers.
